Before you change that channel...

Thursday, January 07, 2010

If you've been waiting for extensions to be available for the Mac version of Google Chrome, you finally have a chance to try them out. Extensions are now available on the new developer channel of Google Chrome for Mac. Just like the Windows version, Google Chrome for the Mac again has a developer channel. If you're willing to put up with some rough edges, you can download the developer channel version. You'll be regularly updated to the latest (but not always the greatest) version of Google Chrome for the Mac. If not, sit tight--we're working on bringing extensions to the beta channel.

Note that all of the original developer channel users prior to the Google Chrome for Mac beta release were migrated to the beta channel as a part of the first beta rollout. If you were on the Mac developer channel at some point, you'll have to reinstall the developer channel version just this once.

Doesn't work for me. Have tried with "--enable-extensions", too.
Any hints?

Are you gonna enable the Bookmark Manager soon? It's really crippled without this. You're probably already working on it but just thought I'd ask!

Apologies...after reloading the dev-package it is working as expected.
Thank you.

Am running 5.0.307.5. dev
Extensions are working well. Bookmark Manager is working well. Am using daily as primary browser.
Question: will it update automatically?

Really appreciate clean design and stability.
Many thanks, P.K.

I tell you I want, a nice feature from Flock which would allow the staring feature to add a bookmark to your del.icio.us links... I know there is a Google alternative but I ain't movin' to nobody else, I'm loyal to del.icio.us. I think it should be built in so that other bookmarking services can benefit too, all but clicking the star link and tippy typing a few tags and maybe a description in. The key is to get it to look native and allow devs to plug in because every browser I have used (FF, IE, Safari) they all have this bookmarking feature I never use and its a wastes of resources and space!
